New South Wales - The Musical State

New South Wales is the most populated state in Australia being home to around 7 million people.
The climate and size of the state allows for a diverse range of activities. Explore wine regions, beautiful beaches, National Parks, go on outback adventures or perhaps try whale and dolphin watching.
Sydney is a popular base for visitors to New South Wales as the city offers so much and is within a couple or so hours of popular tourist spots such as the famous Hunter Valley wine area, the Blue Mountains and the softly rolling hills of the Southern Highlands.

Sydney, New South Wales - Australia

The oldest, largest and (some say) most beautiful city in Australia is memorable for far more than its famous landmarks. Created around one of the world's most dazzling harbours, there's no doubt that the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House deserve their dues.
At Luna Park, walk through Sydney’s most famous face and into the magical world of a 1930’s amusement park. The tallest building in Australia is here so go right to the top of Sydney Tower to get the best views. You can go on board a destroyer at Darling Harbour or squeeze through the tight tube of a submarine.
The Manly ferry is a fantastic little harbour excursion and, when you alight at the new and very fancy Manly Wharf, share a giant gelati (you can't miss the gelataria). Take yourselves up to the Corso and, rather than turn left to the surf beach - where locals of all ages get their exercise - turn right and take the walk around to Shelly Beach at Cabbage Tree Bay.  A tiny cove with quiet waters this is a wonderful spot for snorkelling. It's a very short walk around the rocky shoreline past some cafés, a few steps from the Manly Corso.

The Australian Outback, New South Wales - Australia

Few regions are as diverse, exciting and authentic as the New South Wales Outback. Stretching from Walgett in the north to Wentworth in the south, the region offers a taste of the real Australian outback.
When you get off the beaten track, it’s all about the simple pleasures in life – driving into an historic old town at sunset and catching up with the colourful bush characters in a charming rural pub, kicking your heels up at a country racetrack or getting a thrill at a heart-thumping rodeo.
For a dash of history and heritage, intrepid wanderers can follow the stock routes of cattle king Sir Sidney Kidman on the Kidman Way, or take the fascinating Darling River Run, which runs between Wentworth and the iconic town of Brewarrina – home of the ancient, maze-like fish traps.
Along the way, throw a line in on the picturesque Menindee Lakes or take a side trip to peek at the many art galleries in Broken Hill.
